The short version: DynaStory is a free iOS app for children ages 3–8, provided as-is. No accounts, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no data collection. Use it lawfully. Parents supervise young children using the app.
By downloading or using DynaStory (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Bright Harbor ("we", "us", or "our"), the publisher of DynaStory.
DynaStory is an on-device AI storytelling app for children ages 3–8 running on iOS 26 or later. Stories are generated locally on the device using Apple's FoundationModels framework. No internet connection is required for core functionality, and no story content is transmitted to us or any third party.
DynaStory is designed for children ages 3–8 under the supervision of a parent or guardian. By downloading DynaStory and allowing a child to use it, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and that you consent to the child using the App.
The App is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) because it does not collect any personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

If we introduce paid features in the future, we will update these Terms and the App Store listing before doing so. Any future paid features would require explicit opt-in.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, The Bright Harbor grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use DynaStory on any Apple device you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use by you and the children in your household.
Stories generated by the App are created on your device by Apple's on-device AI. Because DynaStory does not upload, store, or process generated content on our servers, we make no ownership claim over the stories your child creates. They are yours to read, keep, or delete freely.
The DynaStory app, the S-T-O-R-I therapeutic framework, the 60 curated fallback stories, the character designs (Cloud Puppy, Brave Bunny, Gentle Giraffe, Wise Owl, Sparkling Dragon), the interface design, the DynaStory name and logo, and all non-user content are owned by The Bright Harbor and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works without our written permission.
You agree not to use the App to:
DynaStory uses a multi-layer safety filter (blocked words, structure checks, sentiment analysis) and falls back to 60 human-curated stories if the on-device AI produces content that doesn't pass the filter. While we have designed the system to be robust for the target age range, no automated content system is perfect. We strongly recommend that a parent or guardian is present when a child under 8 uses the App, especially for the first time.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Bright Harbor makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. DynaStory is an educational and entertainment product; it is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Bright Harbor and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
Because DynaStory is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App shall not exceed USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities; in such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Bright Harbor and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the App in violation of these Terms, or (b) your violation of any third-party rights.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Deleting the App deletes all local data, including stories, child profiles, and settings (see the Privacy Policy for details). We may discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice.
Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's standard App Store Terms and Conditions and End User License Agreement. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms regarding your use of the App on an Apple device, Apple's terms control to the extent of the conflict.
The Bright Harbor, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania (where The Bright Harbor is based), without regard to conflict of law provisions. Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] to resolve the dispute informally. We will endeavour to resolve any complaint within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page and in the App Store listing. Because DynaStory does not have user accounts, we cannot notify users individually; please check this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
